Keeping your phone directly against your body can have serious health consequences. It can cause male and female infertility, miscarriage, birth defects, breast cancer, and even erectile dysfunction. Instead, keep your phone in a bag or backpack, away from your body.
2. Don’t Use Your Laptop in Your Lap
Laptops use radio frequency (WiFi) and low-frequency waves that can affect fertility and harm growing babies in pregnant women. Use a table or desk to prop up your laptop instead.
3. Don’t Sleep with Your Phone
Seven out of 10 Americans sleep with their phone. However, sleeping with your phone can lead to disrupted sleep and potential health problems. Try to keep your phone away from your bed or use airplane mode at night.
4. Don’t Use Wireless Earbuds
Wireless earbuds use Bluetooth, which is weaker than cellphone fields. However, because they connect directly to your ears (which lead to the brain), there is no shielding of the brain from the fields.
5. Don’t Buy Smart Tech Just Because It’s Smart
Smart tech devices are convenient, but having everything connected to the internet is not always a good idea. What happens when the internet goes down? Why have more internet-connected devices if they’re not necessary?
